Cooking Tip -- We love 'sticky tender rice' like our Japanese neighbor used to make for us. I accidentally found the secret to making this last night. 2 cups of white rice (not minute rice!), 5 cups of water (I added 1 extra cup than directions stated, therefore 5 instead of 4) & 1/2 stick of butter. Bring all to a boil, then cover with tight fitting lid, reduce to simmer for 14 minutes. Turn off heat, just let sit for 30 minutes or longer until all the water is absorbed. Rice will be tender and pleasantly sticky! :)
Glad to find your blog & giveaway! -Tammy

I just found this one out the other day on a website. When frying foods with a breading it is best to soak the item in cold water for about an hour to help the breading to stick better.
