Orbit White Fights Breast Cancer

Recently Orbit White sent me some Bubblemint Gum to review and help promote their partnership with Bright Pink.  Bright Pink is a non-profit organization that works towards preventing and teaching about breast and ovarian cancer.  They are very proactive in their approach.  I am thrilled to help promote a product like Orbit White who is donating 10% of the sales to Bright White.  Go out and buy a pack today!

I also want to encourage all women to sign up for Underwire Alerts brought to you by Bright Pink.  Underwire Alerts will send you a monthly text message reminding you to do your monthly self check breast exam.  Just text PINK to 59227.

I have been chewing the bubblemint flavor of Orbit White.  It is a combination of traditional bubble gum and mint gum.  I love this combination of flavors and this was my first experience with it.  I also find the texture of Orbit White to be smooth, not grainy like some chewing gums.

Here comes the fun part....a giveaway!  You could win 2 Orbit White Bubblemint Big-E Packs, A Bright Book from Bright Pink and an Underwire Alerts Reminder Card.

Would you like to win?  Here are the rules...
  • Leave a comment about how you have been affected by breast or ovarian cancer
  • Follow via Google, Feedburner or Twitter (one entry total)
  • Blog about this giveaway and leave a link
  • Grab my button and leave a link
  • Tweet and link
Contest ends 10/22 and is open to US residents only.

Wonderful of Orbit to change their packaging for this cause!

My grandmother had breast cancer (and survived), so I am definitely more aware of what I need to do as I am getting older, in terms of self exams and awareness.

I am very lucky to not have any family history of breast cancer. But my neighbor who is 86 and quite cantankerous, just recently found out she had it. She told the doctors "I've had this breast for 86 years and you're not taking it away" so I guess she's made peace with her fate. She's quite a character.

My grandmother passed away from Ovarian Cancer and I miss her in my life. It would have been nice to have the years the disease robbed from us with her. She was a great lady.

My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer, and suffered a recurrence. She has now been in remission for about a year, but I know that the disease could come back at any time. I feel for my aunt, and for my mother (who is very close to her sister, and now knows she has an increased risk of breast cancer herself).
