I just finished "A Man of His Word" by Kathleen Fuller last night. I wish I hadn't been so busy lately as I would have enjoyed reading this much sooner. As many of you already know I love reading Amish stories but this was a new author for me. Thomas Nelson kindly provided a copy for my review. I have to say they need to provide many more stories by Kathleen Fuller in the future.
Moriah Miller appears to have a simply perfect life. She marries her childhood friend and follows her faith what more could she need need? God's plans however are not always easy. Moriah will endure all seasons joy, sorrow, anger, confusion and wonder before joy comes back again. In the end God's plan works but the journey isn't always the easy road.
You will find many charming characters in this book. Moriah herself is wonderfully written but I was drawn to the spunk of Rachel, the devotion of Gabe and the teasing nature of Tobias. The characters tend to come off the page right into your imagination. Middlefield, Ohio will take residence in your mind as the characters come to life.
Kathleen Fuller also includes a nice 10 question reading group discussion at the end of the book. I would highly recommend gathering a group to enjoy this book with.

I can't wait to read this book...I go to Middlefield, OH all the time. Lots of Amish, and good restaurants with Amish bakeries and food there. This is a new-to-me author so I'm excited to learn about her books. Enjoying your website and thank you for your review of her book.
