Maraschino Cherries

I finished making my Maraschino cherries. This is a 4 day process. The first night you have to pit the cherries, make a brine and let sit over night. The next day drain the brine off the cherries and rinse with cold water. Make a syrup and boil. Let cherries sit in th syrup for 24 hours. The next day repeat this process. Finally you can heat and put cherries into sterile jars. Can in a boiling water bath for 20 minutes. Last week I showed you pictures of the cherries pitted. Here is the brine being drained...
And here is the final product. I wound up 10 pints of cherries. I haven't opened any yet but I am sure we will try them soon.
