Busy People's Fast & Frugal Cookbook by Dawn Hall

I love this cookbook.  Yesterday I provided you with a few recipes that we are using in our weekly menu plan from this cookbook. And today I am going to tell you just how great this cookbook really is.  No I am not being paid to tell you anything but I did receive my own free copy of the cookbook to review from Thomas Nelson.

This cookbook is obviously for people who are busy and want their food fast and on a frugal budget.  What you don't get to see online however is all the wonderful features of this book.  Not only do you get a recipe but a full nutritional information, supply list for the meal, helpful hints and suggested dishes to compliment the meal.  The supply list really blew me away though because not only is it for the groceries you will be using but it tells you what dishes and tools you will need.

My son, Ethan, who is twelve really wants to be a chef.  You can purchase several kids cookbooks out there and watch a twelve year old groan at the simplicity off them.  Instead you could easily hand that junior wanna be chef this cookbook and get praised as a parent for not giving them another little kid cookbook.  The instructions are written simplistic without being childish.  The pictures in the book are beautiful but they make the dish look achievable not over the top like you need to be a gourmet chef to make this.

Would you like a tip from the book?  "Spraying the top of pasta water with cooking spray keeps it from boiling over."  I love those little tips.  Now I have a tip for you!  Enter to win this cookbook as many times as you can.  I will be giving away two copies to lucky readers.  Also check out the menu plan from yesterday and tomorrow I will be adding a crockpot adapted soup recipe.

WOW! WOW!TRIPLE WOW! I have to tell you ladies and gentlemen, I am so overwhelmed and grateful for your review and feedback of my new Busy People's Fast and Frugal cookbook and website! You have NO IDEA! I just lost my mother the day before yesterday, her visitation is tomorrow and her funeral is the day after that. To say the least I am feeling very sad. I signed up for My Red Apron a few weeks ago. I am totally new to this BLOGthing. :) Anyway, reading all of your feedback just now was and is such a humungous blessing to me! As the oldest of seven children, my mother was fantastic about stretching the dollar! I owe so much of my frugality to her. My only regret abput this cookbook is that I did not dedicate this Busy People's Fast And Frugal Cookbook to her, because I dedicated another cookbook to her. I didn't want to hurt anyone elwe's feelings by my mother being the only one to have two books dedicated to her. Now that I am writing for logical reason for why Ididn't dedicat e the book to herIo realize how rediculous my thinking was at the time! UGH! (Donm't tell me you never get frustrated with yourself, too!) :P So now I am thinking to myself, so what? So what if I dedicate 2 books to her and not anyone else! For goodness sakes, she's my mother! I can still do it for the next print run, right? The book was just released. Yeah! I'm going to ask Thomas Nelson Publishing if I can for the next print run! Reading this inspired me! Thank you all for this gift of insight gift. :) Talking about sight....I like this website/BLOG, too! Way to stay on top of things! I get an e-mail everyday! That is a LOT of work! Thank you!
