After the parade we walked around and looked at some of the pretty tulips. The 5th & 6th graders in Orange City plant 1000's of bulbs every October as a community service project each year. I am sure there hard work is appreciated by many people who come to visit the Dutch college town. Here you can see a few tulips in the background. After running an errand for a friend we returned back to the park for the free Remedy Drive concert. It was fun while we stayed but it was really windy and cold so we left a bit early.
It was great music. They are topping the Christian charts and thanks to some generous donors the entire concert was free. If you would like to hear some music by Remedy Drive you can download a free track for your MP3 player here.Saturday, May 16, 2009
Tulip Festival
Orange City, Iowa has a Tulip Festival every May. I took the boys to the parade and a concert by Remedy Drive. We had to sit and wait awhile for the parade to start since we wanted good seats.
