When I told my boys about the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus game that was coming they were all over trying to find it online and watch preview videos. Initially they were wondering why I was asking them to help me review a game aimed at "little kids". My tween boys think they are too big to go to the circus now that they hit middle school. However that attitude was quickly changed once the game arrived and they begrudgingly started to play. First off you can't see it on the cover art but this game is compatible with the Wii Fit board. Honestly that thrills me because my kids need to exercise as well as I do. This game promotes some fun movement.
Your child will have the ability to be most of the circus entertainers he/she has loved when attending the circus. They can drive a motorcycle in the cage, tame tigers, train dogs and so much more. Each activity challenges you to get a 5 star rating. As you work through the mini-game the stars fill and you are challenged to keep going. This is immediate reward for the child trying to use his/her motor skills with the game.
This game would make a great Christmas present for a family with children of varied ages as it is rated E and I found that it brought us together by starting conversations about our own experiences with the circus.
