EA Play Reviews & Wii Game Giveaway

My boys are throughly enjoying the Holiday Gift Guide.  They are getting Christmas a bit early and as Jess says he gets to influence what someone else might get for Christmas.  He thinks that is pretty cool.  Today we are going to review two games put out by EA Play and then you will have a chance to win one yourself!

The first game we received was The Sims 3 for the PC.  Jess has been begging for this game since it was first publicised it was being made.  He has an obsession with the Sims.  It all started way back when the first Sims were out and he learned he could make decisions for someone on his computer screen.  Well let me tell you the Sims has come a very long way.  You are no longer confined to one family but now you can develop an entire community over time.  The graphics are great and the game is addicting if you don't watch out.

As a parent at times I am a little taken back by some of the game.  I think I am a conservative parent for the most part and the game is very much based on life in general.  You will have the ability to see a couple kissing passionately and a burglery in process.  This is more a game for an older teen and not so much the tween of your household.

You can buy The Sims 3 for under $40.  I think that is a pretty fair deal for a game that really doesn't end.  You can start a family and watch a toddler grow into an adult over time and then start their own family.  You can spend $10 on a movie ticket and it is over in 2 hours so this is by far more milage for your entertainment dollar.

ESRB: Teen - Crude Humor, Sexual Themes, Violence

Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB

The next game we received from EA Play is so much more a family game. Boom Blox Bash Party was created by Steven Spielberg.  It was fun to see this director of movies we love such as ET merge into the video game industry.  Boom Blox Bash Party would be easy to start a little family competition with.  The basic idea of the game is to knock down blox from a pedestal or blox which are part of an object.  You can race each other on time or strategy with this game.  On an awesome note this can not only be played with your tween or teen but with your elementary age child as well.  We will be taking this one along for our family Christmas Wii party!  Watch out bowling because Boom Blox Bash Party is about to take over.  Boom Blox Bash Party is also available to be played online with Wi-Fi.

The price of Boom Blox Bash Party is running just under $30.  This is a great deal for hours of family entertainment.  Also the fact that it has Wi-Fi means you can play with friends or family in another home if they have the game also.

ESRB Rating: Everyone

And now onto our giveaway!!!  Aren't you excited?  You are going to love this.  The new hot game for the Wii is MySims Agents.  These guys are cute and ready for your entire family to play with.

Did I mention this game is hot?  We did not receive this to review but thought we would rent the game and check it out before hand for all of you.  It is so much in demand that we couldn't rent the crazy thing because it was never in at the store.  The idea of the game is you are a secret agent on a mission to stop Morcubus, the corrupt CEO of MorcuCorp.  Players will be hunting for clues and trying to catch up to Morcubus.  This game should be great for developing a thinking strategy among your child or hey maybe you will wind up playing it alone.

The price of MySims Agents is just under $50.  A bit more than the others but also it is in high demand.  I can't find it to rent at this time so it might just be a good Black Friday find!

ESRB Rating: Everyone

Do you want to win it?  I bet you do!

Mandatory entry: Visit the EA Store and tell me what game looks like the best for your family and tell us the rating in your comment as well.
